About me

  • I am a Ph.D. student at Robotics Institute, CMU, advised by Prof. Abhinav Gupta and Prof. Deepak Pathak. I also work closely with Prof. Christopher G. Atkeson. I received my undergraduate degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, working with Prof. Hang Zhao.

  • My research interests lie at the intersection of artifical intelligence, biology and neuroscience. My goal is to build and understand natural intelligence—the form of intelligence that has evolved in biological organisms. To this end, I apply principles from neuroscience and biology to inform the design of intelligent systems and their physical embodiments. I also analyze the performance of various intelligence models and embodiments to better understand the mechanisms underlying natural systems.

  • I am usually looking for students to help with research projects both during the semester and over the summer. If you are interested, please drop me an email.
